The Middlefield Activity Committee will be holding Middlefield Summer Fest this Saturday (7/26) at Harrington Square Plaza. We will have a parade at 1:00 which will include the Cardinal High School Marching Band and Silks Flag Line under the direction of our new band director Mr. Florjancic and Mrs. Amy Caperz. The high school football team will be holding a Cornhole Tournament at 3:00. If you want to participate, click here for more information. Prizes are $120 (1st place), $100 (2nd place), and $80 (3rd place).
Throughout the day, there will be a variety of vendors, a magician, clown, bounce houses, BMX show, Middlefield's Got Talent Too competition finalists, etc. At 7:30, one of our own teachers will be performing followed by fireworks. Bring a lawn chair along to watch the band and the fireworks!
The Ohio Department of Education grant funded Early Literacy Initiative is sponsoring a program for children entering kindergarten to get a jumpstart on fundamental reading skills in a small group setting. Click here for program information and enrollment form.

Ohio Online Learning Program
If you are a currently attending a virtual/online school or if you have an interest in Online Learning: Please join us at the Kent State University Geauga Campus on April 29, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. for an informational meeting. Mark Curtis, Coordinator of Online Learning, from the Cuyahoga County Educational Service Center will be in attendance to talk about the program and answer any questions you may have.

The Brewer-Garrett Company has established a commitment as an ongoing energy partner with the Cardinal School District. Brewer-Garrett provided cost savings solutions, which included lighting retrofits, boiler replacements, demand control ventilation and building automation system upgrades.
